BillingTree partners SwervePay, enhancing mobile, online payment services
Payment data can unlock new revenue, reduce bad debt write-offs and improve customer engagement, companies say.
Payment technology provider BillingTree is entering into a partnership with mobile payment company SwervePay, with the goal of allowing customers in emerging service verticals to drive revenue and increase customer engagement with enhanced mobile and online payment channels.
The agreement will bring together established BillingTree solutions -- such as interactive voice response and portal -- with mobile-enabled payment technology from SwervePay. Customers should essentially be able to use payment data to unlock new revenue, reduce bad debt write-offs and improve customer engagement through the use of automatic text message notifications.

The resulting suite of technologies will be underpinned by payment facilitation services and available for customers in a number of areas, including healthcare, property management, credit unions and auto finance.
"An increasing number of organizations are realizing the payment options they offer are not in line with customer preferences, often finding themselves wasting valuable employee time by using traditional methods to chase payments," said SwervePay CEO Jaeme Adams in a statement. "This partnership will extend the scope of the payment options, helping increase payment convenience through the use of innovative technology to benefit both providers and their customers."
"This partnership is the perfect addition to our product portfolio. Adding the latest technology to the BillingTree solution suite allows the company to ensure its customers are able to meet the changing payment demands of today and tomorrow," said Greg Mallin, director business development at BillingTree, in a statement. "The new payment options will enable us to expand our service offerings to key vertical markets which have been identified as a focus for BillingTree."
