We're starting to hear that some hospitals are declaring October 1, 2015 an “all-hands-on-deck” day for the deadline to convert to ICD-10 coding. Some analysts believe that Congress may push the ICD-10 deadline back again, but there is no way of knowing at this point and hospitals will need to be ready.

In the event new codes require last minute adjustments, many believe that the entire staff should be able to pitch, to ensure problems can be addressed immediately. What is your view? Have you marked October 1 as a red-alert day?
