Huron Consulting Group acquires MyRounding to strengthen technology

More than 25 employees of MyRounding, based in Denver, Colorado, will join Huron.

Huron Consulting Group announced Tuesday it has acquired MyRounding, a firm specializing in digital health solutions to standardize, automate and track nurse and staff rounding activity.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The addition expands the integration of Huron's software and consulting solutions by improving the care and experience of patients in real-time, according to Huron, a healthcare management consulting firm.

More than 25 employees of MyRounding, based in Denver, Colorado, will join Huron, with Tony Gorski and David Marshall as managing directors.

"With Huron's deep consulting expertise, we will be better able to serve our clients as they look to us to analyze data, identify problems, and provide solutions to improve patient care," CEO Gorski said.

In 2015, Huron acquired Studer Group, to focus on improving healthcare providers' clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.

"The addition of MyRounding creates a platform for our clients focused on helping them improve patient safety, patient satisfaction, and clinical quality," said Gordon Mountford, Huron's executive vice president.
