Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Duke University Health System has selected ProVation® Order Sets, powered by UpToDate® Decision Support as its electronic order sets solution.

ProVation Order Sets provides peer-reviewed evidence-based order set content. Proprietary authoring and management tools allow for online review and management of order sets, building consensus among physicians, driving standardization of practice and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) adoption.

"We expect this technology to streamline the review and maintenance processes for our large library of order sets," said Kay Lytle, Director of Clinical IT Strategy, Duke University Health System. "Systems that have the potential to reduce errors and improve quality measures will be important as healthcare institutions move into the era of healthcare reform."

"Wolters Kluwer Health is committed to improving patient safety and standardizing care," said Mike Haldane, Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Documentation, Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions. "We look forward to partnering with Duke University Health System to further that effort."
