Promotions, hires and fires for the week ending November 15, 2013
HCA announced the appointment of Robert F. Carrel as president of HCA’s Richmond, Va.-based Capital Division. He has served as CFO of the Capital Division since 2006 and replaces Margaret Lewis who recently announced her retirement.
Health First named Connie Bradley, RN, as its new chief nursing officer. Previously, she served as the vice president of hospital operations and chief nursing officer at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
WellPoint named Jose Tomas as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Prior to joining the company, he served as global chief people officer and president, Latin America and Caribbean for Burger King Corporation.
PaySpan announced that Cheryl King has joined the company as CFO. She previously served as CFO at First Data Corporation.
The Louisiana Hospital Association named Paul A. Salles as its next president and CEO. He is currently executive vice president at the association, and the president and CEO of the Metropolitan Hospital Council of New Orleans.
Aprecia Pharmaceuticals Company selected Don Wetherhold as the company's next CEO. Prior to joining the company, he served as senior vice president, long-term care at Omnicare.
