Aetna has aligned with Duke Health and WakeMed Health & Hospitals in North Carolina on an expanded accountable care collaboration that will be open to larger, self-funded employers.

The new, co-branded product has been dubbed Aetna Whole Health–Duke Health & WakeMed.

It offers lower out-of-pocket costs for members who see providers that are part of the Aetna Whole Health – Duke Health & WakeMed network and brings together Duke Health and WakeMed physicians, hospitals and outpatient facilities, as well as the ACO, WakeMed Key Community Care. The ACO was created by WakeMed Health & Hospitals, WakeMed Physician Practices and Key Physicians.
