Dr. Cheryl Rucker-Whitaker is founder and CEO of Complete Care Management Partners, a minority and women-owned company focused on decreasing health disparities by changing the trajectory of chronic diseases that lead to long-term disability and increased morbidity and mortality in underserved communities.
Communication, education and access are keys to addressing health disparities, to making healthcare a part of the community. "It can't be, 'Hear what I say and take this medicine,'" she said in joining Healthcare Finance News Executive Editor Susan Morse to talk about how boots on the ground, and in the community, make all the difference.
