HFMA selects former Wexner Medical Center CFO Richard Schrock for Individual Achievement Award
Schrock is 58th recipient of the award, which honors career contributions to HFMA and the healthcare finance profession.
LAS VEGAS -- The Healthcare Financial Management Association has named Richard D. Schrock, as the recipient of the 2016 Frederick C. Morgan Individual Achievement Award. HFMA announced the award as part of ANI 2016 in Las Vegas.
Schrock is an HFMA fellow and is the 58th recipient of the award.

Schrock started his career at Coopers and Lybrand in Columbus, Ohio. as a senior auditor. Afterward, he served as CFO at several Ohio, Virginia, and North Dakota hospitals and health systems, eventually stepping into the CFO role with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Health System in 1990. He retired as their CFO and Treasurer in 2008. He continues to teach graduate level finance classes in the Graduate Program in Health Management and Policy in the College of Public Health at Ohio State University.

Schrock's long history with HFMA began in 1970 and includes roles such as Central Ohio Chapter president in 1974 to 1975, Virginia Chapter president in 1984 to 1985 and North Dakota Chapter Board member from 1987 to 1989.
Schrock is a recipient of the Follmer Bronze, Reeves Silver and Muncie Gold awards, and the Founder's Medal of Honor. He was also named as the first recipient of the Central Ohio Chapter's Richard D. Schrock Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
The Frederick C. Morgan Award will be presented Wednesday.
