Kaiser Permanente names CJ Bhalla Northern California chief financial officer

Bhalla's tenure with Kaiser Permanente began in 2006, with previous positions including CFO for their national information technology unit.

Kaiser Permanente Northern California has named senior executive CJ Bhalla as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer, the system announced Tuesday.

Bhalla will lead financial strategy and revenue cycle operations. The Northern California region is one of the largest markets in the nationwide health system, generating $64.6 billion in operating revenue in 2016.

Bhalla joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006, previously serving as chief financial officer of the national information technology unit and vice president of national financial performance and planning.

Before her tenure at Kaiser Permanente began, Bhalla was a senior vice president at Charles Schwab & Co and held numerous senior management positions at Household International Inc, now HSBC.
