Kindred Healthcare announced that Chairman of the Board Edward L. Kuntz will not stand for re-election to the board of directors. He has served as chairman of the board of directors of the company since May 2009.
Health Care REIT announced that Timothy J. Naughton, chairman, chief executive officer and president of AvalonBay Communities, has been named to its board of directors. Prior to being named CEO of AvalonBay in January 2012, he served as president for seven years.
Jill Rubin Hummel has been named president and general manager of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut. She currently serves as the vice president of payment innovation for Anthem’s parent company.
Kaiser Permanente Hawaii announced that Leanne Hunstock will return to the organization as chief operating officer, care delivery, and vice president, quality. She served as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer at Moanalua Medical Center from 2008-2010.
Jean Meyer has been appointed president and chief executive officer for St. John Providence Health System. Meyer has been serving as interim president and CEO since June.
Lou Inzana, chief financial officer at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., for the past six years, is leaving to become senior vice president and chief financial officer at Maine Medical Center.
