See how states rank for hospital safety in Leapfrog's latest ratings

Leapfrog, in its Fall rankings release, says safety is all over the map.

The Leapfrog Group on Wednesday released state rankings for hospital safety based on the Fall 2015 results of its annual rankings program, and according to data, hospital safety is all over the map.

While Maine, Massachusetts and Florida earned top marks, other states like Vermont, New Mexico and Alabama performed poorly. Leapfrog rates each hospital on a scale of "A" to "F" using data from patient safety experts, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and results of its own hospital surveys.
