Shalin Shah Named CFO for Ascension Tennessee health subsidiary Saint Thomas hospitals
Shah will serve as the new chief financial officer for two of their hospitals, Saint Thomas Midtown and Saint Thomas West.
Ascension's Tennessee ministry Saint Thomas Health has named Shalin Shah as the new chief financial officer for two of their hospitals, Saint Thomas Midtown and Saint Thomas West.
Shah is currently with Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point in Hudson, Florida, and will take the helm effective New Year's Day.
"Shalin's combination of operational and financial expertise and experience will be a great asset to Saint Thomas Health," said Lisa Davis, Chief Financial Officer for Saint Thomas Health. "He will contribute to our emphasis on financial and operational rigor as we build our smarter network of care."
In his role as Chief Operating Officer for Regional Medical Center, Shah led their annual strategic planning efforts oversaw a number of clinical and support departments, as well as the completion of construction projects and successfully launch of a Graduate Medical Education program. The program started with seven osteopathic residents and has grown to 37 residents. Shah also served as chief financial officer for the Bayonet Point facility for four years.

Shah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida, where he later earned his Master of Business Administration.
Saint Thomas Health is a faith-based, nonprofit health care system in Tennessee. The regional health system includes nine hospitals: Saint Thomas Hospital for Spinal Surgery, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Saint Thomas Hickman Hospital in Centerville, Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital in Smithville, Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville and Saint Thomas Stones River Hospital in Woodbury.
The network also includes medical practices, clinics and rehabilitation facilities covering a 68-county area. Saint Thomas Health is a member of Ascension, a large worldwide Catholic nonprofit health system.
