Kronos, Inc., a Chelmsford, Mass.-based provider of workforce management solutions, has acquired API Healthcare, a Hartford, Wis.-based developer of software management solutions focused on staffing and scheduling, patient classification, human resources, recruiting, payroll and staffing agencies.
Gemino Healthcare Finance, based in Philadelphia, has announced the establishment of a $5 million revolving line of credit to AllianceCare, a Boynton Beach, Fla.-based provider of home health services in Florida, Texas and Illinois.
Connance, based in Waltham, Mass., has announced that the Regional Medical Center at Memphis, in Memphis, Tenn., has selected Connance Agency Manager and Connance Scoring, integrated with PARO charity care analytics, to improve process efficiency and patient satisfaction.
GHX, a Louisville, Colo.-based provider of supply chain management services, has been awarded a three-year sole-source agreement from the University HealthSystem Consortium of Oak Brook, Ill., for supply chain management solutions and consulting services.
Craneware, Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of automated revenue integrity solutions for the U.S. healthcare market, has acquired ClaimTrust, Inc., a Nashville, Tenn.-based provider of revenue cycle technology solutions.
Pegasystems, Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.-based provider of business process management solutions, has unveiled its Revenue Cycle Manager solution, designed to enable healthcare systems to streamline patient billing, boost cash flow and drive down operational costs by increasing the amount of clean bills produced at the outset.
PHNS, a Dallas-based provider of healthcare IT services and business process solutions for hospitals and other healthcare providers, has changed its name to Anthelio. The new name reflects a broadening of the company’s services portfolio and follows its Oct. 29, 2010 acquisition by The ConJoin Group and Actis.
Dell Services, based in Plano, Texas, has announced that The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., will use the company’s revenue cycle services. As part of the seven-year agreement, Dell will provide technology, staffing and educational support in several departments, including case management.

MedAptus, a Boston-based developer of charge capture solutions, has announced that New England Baptist Hospital in Boston will implement the company’s charge capture technology for its inpatient medicine providers.

Healthcare Management Partners, LLC, based in New York, and Tennessee-based Dobbs Equity Partners, LLC, have signed a letter of intent to build a new regional hospital in South Carolina and merge three hospitals – Bamberg County Hospital, Barnwell County Hospital and Allendale County Hospital – into the new facility, to be called the Tri-County Regional Health System.

The company has also released its 2010 Drug Price Forecast report, which is the company’s best estimate of the change in the cost of pharmaceuticals to be purchased between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012.
SynCare, a developer of disease and case management services and solutions, has been selected as the assessment administrator for Medicaid home and community-based services programs administered by the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Senior and Disability Services.
