Yale New Haven Health, PhysicianOne Urgent Care partner to expand urgent care services

Both systems bring expansive resources to new partnership, which leadership says will allow broader access to healthcare services.

Connecticut's Yale New Haven Health and PhysicianOne Urgent Care are partnering to bring comprehensive urgent care services to Connecticut and Westchester County, New York, Physician One has announced.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care was founded by three physicians in 2008 and has 12 locations in Connecticut, three in Massachusetts, and two in Westchester County, New York. Additional locations are expected to open in 2017.

Yale New Haven Health includes five hospitals and Northeast Medical Group, which includes primary care physicians and specialists.

The new relationship will allow broader access for our patients to critical healthcare services in the community, Yale New Haven Health leadership said.

Yale New Haven Health includes five hospitals: Bridgeport, Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial, Westerly and Yale New Haven hospitals, several specialty networks and Northeast Medical Group, a non-profit medical foundation with several hundred community-based and hospital-employed physicians.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers walk-in medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries year-round, including X-ray and lab services available on-site.
