Kim Keck, Aetna VP, named CEO of Rhode Island Blue Cross & Blue Shield
Most recently, Keck has been involved in the integration planning of Aetna's anticipated acquisition of Humana.
Kim Keck, senior vice president of Aetna, will become the president and chief executive officer of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island in June, the nonprofit insurer announced Thursday.
She succeeds Peter Andruszkiewicz in this role.
Most recently, Keck has been involved in the integration planning of Aetna's anticipated acquisition of Humana.
She served as the chief of staff to Aetna's former chairman, CEO and president, Ronald A. Williams.

During her 25-year tenure at Aetna, Keck held various leadership roles in the company, including president of the northeast region, interim president of the southeast region, head of enterprise strategy and mergers and acquisitions integration, and vice president of finance.
Keck will be the seventh president and CEO of the 77-year-old company and its first female CEO and president.
