Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit kicks off Tuesday: Experts to tackle value-based planning

A host of healthcare experts from provider organizations, payers and technology vendors are set to speak.

There is perhaps no bigger change to healthcare financial management than the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care, and a host of healthcare experts from provider organizations, payers and technology vendors are set to tackle the topic as the Revenue Cycle Solutions Summit kicks off on Tuesday in Boston.

Editors from Healthcare Finance will be covering the event, and their reporting can be followed on either healthcarefinancenews.com or on social media using the #rethinkRCM hashtag.

Event highlights include Michael Chernew, the Leonard D. Schaeffer Professor of Health Care Policy at Harvard University, who plans to look at the economics of running a sustainable health system in his keynote address.

Michael Rawdan, system director of revenue cycle and patient experience at St. Luke's Health System, will also give a presentation on how that system has used innovative payment options to improve patient collections. That includes longer payment options that patients can be eligible for to pay off their bills.
