Freeing up clinician time is no easy task, but Geisinger's move toward automation has cut down on the operational and administrative workload burden. Bots now do much of the mundane documentation and reporting work. - Bots can help with transitions in care and speed up communication and results
- AI is also being used for chatbots
- Tasks are redesigned, freeing up staff and increasing their capacity
- Automation allows the health system to get creative with clinician roles
- The value is in cost avoidance and less attrition
