Promotions, hires and fires for the week ending February 14, 2014
The Christ Hospital Health Network, in Cincinnati has named Paul Gelter as vice president and chief administrative officer. His duties at the health system include oversight of human resources, organizational development and legal services/risk management.
Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., has named Daniel J. Porter to be its next senior vice president/chief financial officer, beginning in late February. Porter served previously as CFO of Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa, and before that was with Alegent Health in Omaha.
Dean Swindle, executive vice president for business services and CFO at Catholic Health Initiatives, has been named president of enterprise business lines and will continue as the health system’s chief financial officer. His administrative oversight will include finance and accounting, payer strategies, revenue cycle management, supply chain and clinical engineering.
Bronson Healthcare has named James E. (Jim) McKernan as chief operating officer for Bronson Battle Creek in Battle Creek, Mich. McKernan is currently vice president, Bronson HealthCare Midwest.
