Saint Francis Care names David Bittner CFO of Connecticut health system
Bittner takes financial reins at New England's largest Catholic hospital.
David Bittner recently appointed CFO at Saint Francis Care
Hartford, Connecticut-based Saint Francis Care has promoted David Bittner to chief financial officer, less than one year after naming him senior vice president of finance.
In his new role, Bittner will be responsible for the fiscal operations of Saint Francis Care, New England’s largest health system. He will focus on strategic financial planning, the operational budget, revenue and investment management.
Bittner started at Saint Francis in 2012 as vice president of finance and stayed in the position until March of 2014, when he was named senior vice president.
He arrived at Saint Francis from Memorial Health System, a Springfield, Illinois-based nonprofit organization with a 500-bed community hospital and two critical access hospitals. Previous to Memorial, Bittner was an auditor with Ernst & Young, in Kansas City, Missouri.
