Cincinnati-based revenue cycle management firm The Consult has acquired another competitor, its second in two months, the company announced.
The Consult, also known as TCI, said it bought Scroggins Information Services, also in Cincinnati, for an undisclosed price.

TCI in December 2014 said it bought Physician Management Information Services of Denver, another competitor.
TCI offers revenue cycle management software. It will continue to run both locations in the Ohio city.
TCI’s announcement comes as more hospitals and medical practices are upgrading their systems or outsourcing revenue cycle services to outside vendors.
