It seems that the 17 times Congress punted on reforming the sustainable growth rate is finally coming to a head, as physicians and a host of advocates and medical organizations are using social networking to pressure lawmakers to repeal the beleaguered reimbursement formula for good.

According to reports, House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi are on the verge of finalizing a bill to repeal the SGR, a plan that would end the threat of steep reimbursement cuts that have come up every year since 2002.
