CHI St. Luke's Health name Jenny Barnett-Sarpalius Texas Division CFO
Barnett-Sarpalius has served as interim CFO for the last 90 days; will represent Texas on the CHI National Enterprise Finance Operations Leadership
CHI St. Luke's Health announced Monday that Jenny Barnett-Sarpalius will lead the Texas Division as their new chief financial officer. She has served as interim CFO of that division for the last 90 days, and her new role is effective immediately, the company said Monday.
According to CHI St. Luke's, as Division CFO Barnett-Sarpalius will represent Texas on the CHI National Enterprise Finance Operations Leadership Council, a group that is responsible for developing an overall financial strategy for CHI. She will spearhead the division's financial operation, and work in concert with other leadership to develop a viable long-term financial model.
Recently, she served as executive vice president and CFO of the nation's second-largest Catholic nonprofit healthcare system, Trinity Health. She has worked across the country in several systems such as Houston's Memorial Hermann Healthcare, CHRISTUS Health, and Catholic Health East. In 2012, Philadelphia Business Journal named her CFO of the Year for "exemplary leadership at Catholic Health East."

Barnett-Sarpalius is a certified public accountant, and earned her bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. According to a statement from CHI St. Luke's, she has been instrumental in developing both short and long-term financial plans to support the system, and has worked with other leadership to develop a cost-reduction plan "to refocus the Division's strategies for program and revenue growth."
