Two hospitals in the Brookwood Medical Center/Baptist Health System network in central Alabama have appointed new chief financial officers for their respective leadership teams.

Brandon Williams will assume the role at Brookwood, a 607-bed acute care hospital in Birmingham. He replaces Doug Carter, who was promoted to the market office to serve as CFO of the combined healthcare company.

Previously, Williams served for four years overseeing financial operations at East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Brookwood and East Cooper are both part of Tenet Healthcare, a healthcare service company based in Dallas.

Williams was with Tenet for 12 years, serving an array financial roles in hospitals at its corporate headquarters. He's a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves as an advisor and CFO mentor in the Tenet Finance Academy. He has a bachelor's degree in management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia College and State University.

Amanda Dyle, meanwhile, is taking over at the 267-bed Walker Baptist in Jasper, bringing with her 18 years of experience in healthcare accounting and financial management. She succeeds John Langlois, who now serves as the hospital's president.

Most recently, Dyle served as CFO at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Before that, she was the assistant CFO at Atlanta Medical Center in Georgia. She began her career at Tenet as controller at Northshore Regional Medical Center in Slidell, Louisiana. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and an MBA from William Carey College.

In 2014, Tenet and the Baptist Health System in Birmingham announced they would form a new organization combining Brookwood and Baptist's four hospitals to create a new model of healthcare delivery, touting cost efficiency and innovation.
