Navigant leads KLAS ranking of revenue cycle operations firms

When it comes to firms that specialize in revenue cycle operations, Navigant stands at the top of the pack, netting the highest score in data released this week by KLAS.

Navigant's Cymetrix division, with an 86.8 aggregate score, performed way above average on key performance indicators and was also ranked highly in terms of culture fit. It performed extremely well in the likelihood that its clients would recommend the firm to peers, scoring at 8.4 out of 9 on KLAS' scale. The firm was also found to have a very positive overall impact on patient satisfaction.

Following Nagivant was nThrive, with an aggregate score of 80.9. nThrive was found to have an above average culture fit and it had an overall positive impact on patient satisfaction.

The other revenue cycle firms, in order, were RI RCM (77.5), Parallon (76.3), Cerner (71.3) and Conifer Health (67.8). Conifer scored below average on key performance indicators, culture fit and the likelihood that it would be recommended by clients, although it was found to have an overall positive impact on patient satisfaction.

KLAS also examined firms that offer extended business office solutions. Many were the same firms that were ranked on their revenue cycle acumen, but certain firms offered EBOS exclusively.

Among the EBOS-exclusive firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers ranked the highest with an aggregate score of 92.3. It scored well above average on key performance indicators and culture fit and was through the roof when it came to the likelihood its clients would recommend it, netting an 8.7 on a 9-point scale.

MediRevv ranked second among EBOS firms with a 90.7 aggregate score and MedAssist finished a close third with a 90.5 showing. Both scored well above average on key performance indicators, culture fit and likelihood of recommendation.

Among firms that also had revenue cycle operations divisions, Conifer nabbed the top EBOS score with an 87.7, scoring above average on key performance indicators and likelihood of recommendation. However, nThrive had the lowest EBOS score, 71.2, due to a below-average showing on key performance indicators, likelihood of recommendation and culture fit.
